Hello there!
I’m Breece Alattar, the heart and soul behind A La Tarah Portrait Studio. I’ve always been an artist at heart—my love for portraiture began early on, especially with drawing people. There’s something captivating about trying to capture the essence of a person on paper. However, my perfectionist streak quickly kicked in, and I found myself frustrated when I couldn’t get my sketches to look as real as I envisioned. It turns out, I wanted more than paper could offer!
I have always found it easy to connect with people—whether they’re across the street or across the ocean, I somehow always end up making fast friends. I get it from my grandfather, who was the original social butterfly in our family. Maybe that’s why my journey eventually led me to portrait photography, where connection is key.
Before finding my way here, I took a detour through the world of interior design. I threw myself into it and, as it turns out, I was pretty good at it! My portfolio won Best in Show and I’ve earned several other awards in art and design over the last 15 years. My passion for creating beautiful, harmonious spaces was a natural fit for my creative spirit. But while I loved design, there was still something missing. I needed a medium that could bring people and art together.
Enter my husband—who, as luck would have it, is a professional wedding photographer. He opened my eyes to the technical side of photography, and it was like the stars aligned! Suddenly, everything I loved—art, design, and human connection—came together in a way that felt meant to be. Photography became my canvas, my sketchbook, my design board—all rolled into one. My artistic journey had come full circle.
And now, here we are! A La Tarah Portrait Studio has grown into something I could never have imagined. Recently voted the best portrait photographer in Pierce County (pinch me, I’m dreaming!), I’ve realized that this isn’t just a career for me—it’s my calling. I take pride in creating timeless, emotionally resonant portraits that are more than just pictures. They are moments, memories, and stories, beautifully preserved.
